NATIONAL NURSES' WEEK
(May 6th to May 12th): For many years ICNA Sisters Calgary are appreciating nurses during nurses week. Due to Covid-19, last year we covered 5 hospitals with snacks, masks and scrub bags as a small token of thanks to our heroes, our frontline workers, our nurses. This year for Nurses week we are planning to give coffee with donuts to all five hospitals as a small token of thanks and appreciation for all the hard work, and being there for us, please donate generously to this cause.
WINTER CLOTHES & WATER FOR HOMELESS
A new project started this year to help with winter mitts, gloves, toques, and water to the Homeless in our city during these turbulent times of COVID in collaboration with Be the change YYC. CANADA DAY
We celebrate Canada day for many years by thanking our police department, fire stations, libraries and many more by sending them thankyou notes and cakes for their services. We also participate in the Canada day sun festival and share our culture and traditions with fellow Canadians to bridge the gap and also celebrate diversity and inclusivity as Canada is a multicultural and diverse country.
KINDNESS DAY
Last year we ICNA sisters Calgary has started a new project. As a kind gesture, we gave out free coffee and drinks available to all fellow citizens at participating restaurants including Tim Hortons and Starbucks on Nov 13th, 2020 world kindness day during these turbulent times of COVID.
