Our History
It was July 9th 1978, when six visionary sisters started this organization.
Alhamdulillah, today, we have more than 1200 members all over Canada.
HOW WE WORK!
ICNA SISTERS CANADA a wing of
ICNA Canada,
a not for profit organization and a registered charity.
Election are
conducted every two year for President ICNA Sisters Canada
and Sisters board
Sisters' general assembly is the final decision making body
in all matters.
We have chapters and regions where our chapter and regional teams carries all the activities.
All donations we receive are tax deductible.
OUR TEAM
Our national team comprises of sister's president and a team
of elected and
nominated board members.
Each chapter and region
has it's own elected
president and shura. The department in-charges
are constantly in touch
with national dept. incharge.
The departments have a national incharge and a team of sisters nominated from each chapter/region.
All decisions are made by discussion and deliberation between team members.

OUTREACH
Aims to provide the true Islamic perspective through authentic literature as well as by providing opportunities to learn directly from the Muslims
SOCIAL SERVICE
Encourages women, to work individually and collectively, for the betterment of fellow citizens, regardless of their race, age ethnicity and religion.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
Initiates, participates
and collaborates with other organizations in developing the projects aimed at bringing positive change in the society.
LEARNING &
DEVELOPMENT
Through tazkeer, naseeha, lectures, workshops and self assessment tools. Daily planner is the newest project of this department.
MATRIMONY
Strives to build a happy, healthy community by finding suitable matches
BOOK STORE
Finds books and make them accessible to members and volunteers
MEDIA DEPT.
Helps develop and organize media training and awareness.
PRINTING &
PUBLICATION
Helps to bring new books and translations & Healthy entertainment Noor magazine.
