ICNA SISTERS TORONTO

WHO ARE WE

We are a dedicated group of sisters working to bring positive change in our community. We have 15 units, neighbourhoods where sisters come together to learn, develop grow and help others to become an exemplary Canadian community

OUR ONGOING PROJECTS

ICNA SISTERS CENTER AND ADDUHA INSTITUTE

ICNA Sisters center.png

ICNA Sisters Center was not only holding classes for Adduha Institute of Islamic Sciences but was also being used for our Senior's meet and great, social service projects, meetings, Muslim Youth Network halaqas, Eid Milans and much more.

We need your help to collect funds for all the ongoing expenses even if the space is not being used due to Covid pandemic, like heating and cooling, phone, internet, property taxes and maintenance.  We need to replace the heating system soon. Please donate!

WORLD KINDNESS DAY

We distributed free Tim Horton's coffee, appreciating the community. This action was to let the community know that each and everyone is doing their little kindness, and we would like a part in it, letting them know that no matter race, religion and gender, we appreciate every one.

On kindness, We also handed out a free pop to anyone placing an order at Karahi Boys. This small act of kindness is something we hope can brighten up someone’s day.

FOOD DRIVE

Many people are in a situation where they cannot afford food, which is a staple in life. We, as ICNA Sisters, would like to offer our help in any way we can. At least 2 -3 times a year, we collect food as a community and donate it to the food bank or a shelter in our area

SHELTER DRIVE

Many people are in a shelter; these are people that are in a difficult situation. By offering our help at shelters, we understand that there is a staple in high demand. So we as the Muslim community come together to donate and collect products that are essential for everyone. We pack up these crucial products and present them to the shelter.

CANADA DAY

FRONTLINE WORKERS APPRECIATION

Canada Day, Frontline Workers' appreciat

Before covid, we would take part in the Canada Day celebration by putting up a booth, interacting with the community by face painting, putting on henna, and handing out treats.

But due to covid, we realized that on Canada Day, we need to recognize the Front-line workers, all the hard work they are putting in during this covid pandemic.  All Emergency & ICU STAFF was given thank you cards by our MCNA (Muslim Children of North America) and a gift. We recognize that the amount of extra time and effort that everyone is putting in to help everyone battle covid.

TREE PLANTING

Tree Planting in our community. As ICNA Sisters, we recognize that this world we live in needs to be maintained to make it a better place.  The environment is constantly taking a beating; by planting trees, we contribute to their environment; trees provide oxygen and improve the air quality; it helps wildlife. As Muslims, we are taught, this is an action that is an integral part of living in this world.
