CIVIC ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

About CIVIC ENGAGEMENT Department

"Help each other in performing good deeds and piety and do not help each other in sin and transgression"

A beautiful verse from Quran has inspired us to initiate, participate and collaborate with other organizations in developing the projects and causes that are aimed at bringing positive change in the society. We are committed to empower women through skill building and leadership opportunities where they can voice their concerns, and develop new ideas to make life better for all Canadians. Our projects are: Canada Day, Peace walk, International Women’s Day and much more.

Planting

Trees are vital in protecting our land, its beauty and essential for our existence.

Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) has narrated,

"There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him." (Bukhari)

Family Day Calgary 3.JPG

Family Day

The family unit is an important component of Islam, and all elements of a family are given due significance – from parents to children to spouses to kith and kin. ICNA Sisters have always participated with their families and made this day much more valuable by fundraising for our hospitals that provide  the best of services to our families
